I feel like I’ve seen a million weddings this summer on Instagram (some local LA ceremonies, some dreamy destination ones) and beyond the obvious, I’m always curious to see what the guests are wearing. I thought I’d do a post on summer wedding dresses since it’s a staple event we’re always shopping for. In my opinion, the key is to find something that is versatile enough to wear to a summer wedding as it to wear to a dressed up brunch, shower, birthday party, or if you really luck out – dressed down with sandals. This floral maxi dress is so comfortable, it breathes easily, and I love it played up with a ladylike hat and clutch as much as I do with flats and sunglasses for brunch. It comfortably fits true to size or even a little big since it’s stretchy around the waist, so don’t worry about sizing (or crashing the dessert bar). Wear it with ankle strap heels to a dressed up wedding or with block sandals as I did here for something with a more casual dress code.

I’ve already paired this burgundy clutch (at $40, you can’t miss it!) with everything from jeans to a cocktail dress, and I’ll keep wearing it through the fall with deeper autumn-toned colors. Such a great buy!
