Amangiri Escape

Line & Dot dress, Lovers + Friends belt, Schutz shoes, Kendra Scott jewelry

Nestled into the staggering rocks of Canyon Point, Utah lies a secluded resort called Amangiri.

It’s unlike any hotel I’ve visited before: the entire resort is built into the rock it’s surrounded by. This makes it stunning yet simple, as you feel completely enclosed by nature. The catch: it takes a looooong haul to get there. I flew into Las Vegas with Kaitlynn, Jill, and Kelsey, then drove about 5 hours into the desert to spend a couple days at Amangiri with Kendra Scott. The setting was so worth it as a backdrop to wear Kendra Scott’s Fall collection in: mixed metals, agate stones and druzy jewels against miles of rocky terrain.

Despite the incredible service at Amangiri, I felt totally surrounded by nature and off the grid from reality. The area straddles the border between Arizona/Utah time zones, so we could never figure out what time it actually was because our phones kept changing back and forth. It was the icing on the whole experience – who cares when you’re that isolated from a city?  All the rooms at Amangiri face the wilderness through glass doors, and it’s pretty trippy to open the doors and look out facing miles of desert. Kaitlynn and I joked that it’s a bit of a “glamping” experience; the 5-star service but feeling of being out in the middle of the nowhere. We were reminded of how remote this place is by waking up to a few tiny spiders on our beds (which normally would warrant a panic attack) but what else can you expect when your bedroom door faces that view?  (We also joked that this resort is the perfect place for a criminal to hide out – no one would EVER find them).

After checking into our rooms, I changed into this off the shoulder ruffle dress paired with a neutral double-buckle  belt and my favorite shoe of the moment. I wore rose gold bangles consistently throughout the trip, subtle enough to work with any outfit.

By far the best part of the resort (besides the food, which was incredible) is the saltwater pool surrounded by rocks. It was about 95 degrees during the day and didn’t drop below 80 until sundown, so the pool is where you want to be during the summer heat. The mountain backdrop looks like a movie set behind you, almost unreal. I wore my blue Janessa Leone hat to cover very dirty/sweaty/windblown hair after our boat ride earlier that day.

This below view behind me below is what I woke up to every morning from my bedroom door, so serene.  I paired a soft white romper with this rose gold choker necklace.
