Statement Jewelry for Everyday

Look 1: Ronny Kobo bodysuit, Ramy Brook skirt, Baublebar necklace. Look 2: Ramy Brook top, Ramy Brook pants, Baublebar earrings. Look 3: WAYF Jumpsuit, Baublebar earrings.

I’ve always been drawn to jewelry for its versatility. It has the power to either drastically elevate an outfit or subtly enhance it. Like perfume, it adds a final touch to your look that shows off your personality and makes the whole thing come to life.

I tend to stick to the same delicate rose gold jewelry every day, often forgetting to take it off or switch it up. I always remind myself that statement pieces aren’t just reserved for special occasions – that’s why it was so fun to partner with BaubleBar to style these pieces, as playing with the jewelry reminded me how easy it is to transform an outfit with one piece.

BaubleBar makes beautiful pieces that are current and stylish. They’re also good quality, which I love.

Brunch

Brunch is a major event in LA on weekends (or any day, really). Lazy mornings turned into afternoons with catching up with friends and recapping the week is something I’m always looking forward to.

When I’m with girlfriends, I like to play up my jewelry or makeup, not only because I know my stylish friends will appreciate it more than my boyfriend will, but because it’s a fun setting where anything goes. It calls for something unabashedly sparkly and feminine.

I chose a black lace bodysuit tucked into a billowy white skirt for brunch, and decided to go for it with this bold crystal necklace. Sticking to neutral colors allows the necklace to take front and center stage without overpowering my outfit.

I see a lot of statement necklaces over white tees and cutoffs in LA, proving that pairing the most casual of clothes with an over the top necklace works well – why save it only for nighttime?

Meeting

As a fashion blogger, “workwear” is a loose term. Pretty much anything goes when style is your business, but I still want to look polished.

In my opinion white trousers are possibly one of the chicest things you can wear, so I’m always finding an excuse to rock them. For this look, I wanted to play off these Ramy Brook pants with these crisp white earrings. I love the graduated sizing and the fabric material; it’s so unique from your average pair of jeweled earrings.

I love that the earrings are visible from a distance as I approach someone – they speak volumes before I open my mouth. Even more so, I love how lightweight they are – heavy earrings are a serious deal breaker for me!

Night Out

Nights out in LA call for something a little more unexpected than a mini dress or jeans. It’s no secret I have a thing for jumpsuits. It’s ironic how cool they look with such minimal effort. Plus, they’re comfortable; you can move and dance without feeling restricted. Since my outfit is one single piece and it’s black, I wanted to play it up with a fun color and a larger earring size for a night out in LA.

I’ve had my eye on these tassel earrings for a while. The little beads add some unique detail and they swing when I walk, which adds some fun movement for nighttime. Plus, if you’re incorporating only one color into an evening look, red is foolproof.
