This is a pretty accurate representation of what autumn in Los Angeles looks like this time of year: darker colors, heavier fabrics.. and bare legs (still not quite chilly yet). I wore this out for a lunch meeting to my favorite spot Zinque – if you’re in LA you must go and order “le bowl”!

This sweet stripe top from Nordstrom works with anything from jeans to a leather skirt, and has detailed buttons at the shoulder. It’s a comfortable cotton but has some weight to it, which I like for fall. Marc by Marc Jacobs also makes a dress version of this top – I can picture it with a great pair of boots.

I’m pretty sure I’ve found the perfect fall coat, and it comes in both a long version (need the fuchsia color ASAP) and short version. I love the casual wrap style and unique collar. Trust me on this one.

A leather skirt is so versatile for fall, and they don’t have to break the bank – Nordstrom carries some great options like this black leather one with zip details (at a $85 price point) and this pleated brown skirt ($58).
