Welcome to the second round of beauty and style collaborations between myself and the amazing Chloe Morello! Due to so many requests, we’ve decided to feature Leighton Meester as our next celebrity subject. (See our first collaboration here) Leighton has such unique red carpet style, and what catches my eye most are the edgy yet flattering printed dresses she fearlessly wears (so different from Blair’s preppy wardrobe on Gossip Girl!) Chloe and I have recreated Leighton’s look with a makeup tutorial and similar styling. I can’t get enough of this body-con Thatcher dress. The fabric is substantial and a bit thick, and has subtle shoulder pads that give it a more structured shape. I love how I can’t exactly tell what this print is- part geometric kaleidoscope, part floral, part aquatic underwater scene? Whatever your interpretation, I like to stand out at night in a fun print among a sea of LBD’s and strapless sheaths. Leighton may take this look to the extreme (check out her bubble skirt-leggings combo!) but I’ve chosen a dozen party-ready prints below to celebrate this trend for any occasion. Hi Fatma, the link actually is the same Thatcher dress I’m wearing but in several different colors and prints. I couldn’t find my exact print online anywhere!
