Happy Monday! I’m spicing up the beginning of the week with this glittery jumpsuit I spotted at Topshop last week. Guess what? It’s only $70, and the perfect alternative to a holiday dress (it also comes in gold here, and in black velvet here). The draped top and sparkles practically serve as accessories, so I paired it with studded heels (on sale!) and a leather jacket. The result was a sleek yet playful black and white look.
Since I was born and raised here in LA, I’m always trying to find unique spots to shoot my photos that gives you a glimpse into my life in this city. My friend and photographer Valorie and I stumbled upon this street corner on La Brea, and it’s home to Nick Metropolis Collectible Furniture – an outdoor furniture shop that any of you Angelenos have probably driven by plenty of times (I didn’t know what it was either). We were cracking up at all the random pieces just sitting on the sidewalk – a singing Elvis statue, a park bench with Ronald McDonald, an Old Hollywood makeup mirror and chair, street signs.. you have to see it for yourself! It turned into the perfect backdrop for a Hollywood themed shoot. Definitely worth grabbing a coffee and walking by if you’re in West Hollywood.
I’m loving the idea of a jumpsuit for the holiday season. It’s a low maintenance no-brainer when you’re getting dressed for an event, and comes off as glamorous without trying too hard. I’ve picked out more jumpsuit options below – which is your favorite? I’m a big fan of this strapless bow jumpsuit (for $90!) and this low-cut number.
