Now that we’re into October, all I want to wear are polished and feminine fall outfits. Marc by Marc Jacobs’ new collection is all about luxe fabrics and autumnal prints that have a fun edge. I like how this cozy plaid sweater combines a traditional print with a twist – the pattern is soft and the lines are a little fuzzy. It almost looks like a spray paint design up close. Also, the material is beyond cozy and I love how thin it is and easy to tuck into a slim pencil skirt without any lumps around the waist (tip for elongating your figure!)

Nordstrom carries the line and has great other options for fall like this silk blouse (on sale) and this adorable bow skirt.

I love how ladylike this outfit is. It was pretty comical taking these pictures in Venice – basically the most casual, dressed-down and lowkey beachside neighborhood in the city, where bikinis and flip flops are the normal uniform year round. We definitely had to wait for some surfers to cross the street or else they’d end up in the shot! Not to mention it was a solid 95 degrees this day. LA is having a serious heat wave this week and I can’t wait for it to settle so I can really start wearing leather and knits!
