Jewelry: Simon G

It’s no secret that I love jewelry, so when Refinery29 invited me to visit the Simon G Jewelry showroom in LA I of course accepted. I stacked on a pile of statement rings (the more the better if you’re just playing dress up, right?) The sapphire opal-shaped ring and aquamarine ring were my favorite.

Simon G is known for luxurious yet accessible jewelry with careful attention to detail, which is easy to spot on in the intricate designs. After trying on in the showroom the team gave me a tour of the “diamond factory.” I didn’t realize how much work goes into making a ring before it gets into your hands. First the hand-made sketch of the ring and setting is created, then a rubber mold is made. Nowadays a computer program helps generate virtual designs.  From there, the stones are carefully set and secured. What’s your favorite stone?
