I wanted to share a fun summer updo idea – this is perfect for summer weddings, outdoor parties or barbecues when you want your hair up off of your neck. It was surprisingly easier than I thought. I used a curling wand (without a clamp) to wrap random sections of hair, giving it some texture and fullness. I’ve used this wand for years and always come back to it – the curls last two solid days and my hair never feels damaged after using it. Upside of curling your hair before you do a bun: you can take it out later and your waves are still in tact! I did a low bun to the left side of my head and secured it with some pins. I always take a few pieces of hair out at the front for a messier, more casual look. I’ll keep this look in mind for end of summer events. Let me know your thoughts!
