You may have seen an Instagram post that I shared a couple weeks ago featuring a sleek blowout look.
I love a good blowout – shiny hair with some movement and bounce instantly uplifts my mood (anyone agree?) and pairs well with any outfit, night or day. I’ve been working on protecting my hair from heat damage after years of mistreating it with color and irons, so I usually let my hair air dry if I’m doing it at home. This makes a blowout extra special and I look for the right products to use to maintain it for as long as humanly possible.
I used Pantene’s Airspray for all the hair looks in this post and I’m impressed! It’s a flexible hold, alcohol-free aerosol hairspray (which means it doesn’t dry out your hair). You can layer it all day, starting with your blowout in the morning and adding another layer of hairspray at night when you curl your hair before going out. It’ll stay soft, touchable and flexible.
The reason why I’m so into this concept is that I end up getting my hair done and re-done a lot for events, meetings and photo shoots. I hate the feeling of a head of hair that’s full of product. There’s nothing worse than “crunchy” hairspray hair; it reminds me of prom hair. Not cute – my ideal wave is soft and touchable.
The Looks
After the sleek blowout look, I curled sections of my hair for the next look: voluminous waves with a retro vibe. I layered on some more Airspray and brushed out the curls, but it still felt soft and relaxed. The last look was a beachier wave, and I used another round of spray. The Airspray has a subtle , not too overbearing scent which makes it easier to layer on.
